Share Your Sightings!
Hello, Friends. Please share any sightings at RGNC with us! For example, did you see a coyote whilst walking to the river? This is the place to post your comment(s).
I did! On Sunday February 18th as I was walking back from the river, I sat quietly on a bench for a while. Then I looked back towards the river. The first thing that emerged from the shadows were the enormous ears. Gradually the rest of the gold and gray coyote became clear. When I moved slightly to get a better view he was gone.
Whilst pulling into the parking lot on May 5th to drop off my brother for Herbfest, we saw a cottontail rabbit hopping across the parking lot! It was amazing.
It has been very quiet in the wetland ponds recently. However young ducklings and goslings are making an appearance as well as the spotted sandpiper, one of our regular summer visitors. Hope you can stop by and check out these young ones.
